    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend anatomy because you learn about your body in ways you usually would not talk/ think about. It opened my mind up to more than just thinking outside of my body and more of the inside and all of what is inside us. It is a really awesome class and im happy with my choice of taking it.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course so far are dissecting a cat. It's a experience you wouldnt have if you did not take anatomy. I did not think i would be able to cut into the cat but I was able to. I learned alot of tissues in a cat and their muscles and it was very interesting.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Go into this class knowing you will have to put alot of work in to get the grade you want. Another thing is really listen and be involved or else it won't be as good as of a experience and you wont learn as much.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Chemistry was my favorite class so far at Mercy High School and it was very interesting! It was a difficult class for me, but I now understand more of how much Chemistry happens in my daily life. This Chemistry course does includes a lot of math concepts as well and the material often builds off previous material. I highly recommend taking this class.

    Course highlights:

The multiple labs we did throughout the course were definitely the highlights of the class. The labs are engaging, fun, and really help with understanding the different principles of Chemistry. I loved the variety of information we covered in the course as well and I loved learning how to apply the principles of Chemistry to real life situations. Some of the material included the structure of the atom, patterns in the periodic table of elements, various chemical reactions, stoichiometry, thermochemistry, and much more.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

The advice I would give for students considering this course would be to consistently review the notes given in class and to study a little bit every night for the upcoming tests. Always ask questions on concepts you may be confused about as well because much of the material in later chapters builds on material learned in previous chapters. Also, always complete homework assignments and extra practice because these really help in mastering difficult concepts.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would absolutely recommend this course! Not only is the subject in itself incredibly interesting, but the teaching methods are astounding as well. Almost every assignment completed is submitted via iPad and each chapter truly allows you the great opportunity to indulge in who we are physically as people.

    Course highlights:

One of the definite highlights of this course was the Cat Dissection. You will be accessible to an exceptional opportunity to connect and explore with life on a deeper level. It's definitely a chance I recommend every science student takes!

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

To students considerering taking this course, I recommend that you be attententive and involved. The only way to truly learn is to involve yourself and there's practically no way to do that with out being attentive. Take notes, study, and above all, give the teacher your undivided attention at all costs in order to truly learn the ins and outs to Anatomy and Physiology.
