This class was tough.
This class is difficult yet rewarding. The class is setup in a such a way that it is primarily a self-taught course with weekly reviews led by the Professor. The information in each chapter is solidified during these reviews, which is why it is critical that one attends class. Professor Berlins class structure inadvertently teaches one to be a better student.
Learning the basics of organic chemistry is nice and tinkering with synthesis reactions is oddly entertaining. The highlight of the course was being able to look back and realize that the material at the beginning of the course which once proved very difficult is now very easy. That is a nice feeling.

Advice for students:
Staying on top of the work is extremely important. Completing the material and reviewing it before class makes it easier to remember.
