Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it teaches you more than just the words in a book you are reading. You learn the importance of the time a book was written in, and about the author to understand the message the book was displaying. Other than learning the importance of background, you also learn the importance of note taking and study habits. I feel as if this course made me learn more than just English; it made me learn about myself as a student.

    Course highlights:

Research Paper, To Kill a Mocking Bird, The Devil and Tom Walker Authors, generations and eras books were written in, and how they are important and useful when trying to interpret the themes and message of a book.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Be sure to take notes and read your assignments. Study hard for the quizzes and experiment new study habits to improve scores and memory. But most importantly; have fun. This is a great class to learn 11th grade English.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course focused on american literature. It was one of my favorite classes trough out my time at Mooney. I learned so much about different types of writing. My favorite was Transcendentalism. The teacher gave us very good notes all of which would prepare you for the tests.

    Course highlights:

Rinehart has a section on his board called the "wall of fame" whenever you get an A on a test you get your name put in the wall of fame. I thought this was great idea, keeping kids working hard to get their names up there. Also he gives a great amount of extra credit making it almost impossible to fail as long as you try.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Take it! He is one of the best teachers ive ever had and you will definitely leave there with new knowledge.
