    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class allowed me to see history in an enjoying light, mainly thanks to my teacher, and I grew a newfound appreciation for history that I hadn't possessed before.

    Course highlights:

I felt that I learned a very detailed amount of information on the nine periods of United States history. The highlight of the class was the different activities that our class participated in, including making a Crash Course video, historical figure speed dating, and writing an Andrew Jackson Eulogy

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Always make sure to pay attention during your teacher's lectures. Although reading from the book is very important and should still be done, I felt it was both easier and more helpful to listen and take notes on the teacher's lectures. Additionally, do not procrastinate on the AP exam. Plan to review around 3 weeks before the test and start doing practice tests about a week before.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Though the class is rigorous and involves a lot of hard work; people discover they have far more abilities than they originally thought.

    Course highlights:

Having to write multiple DBQs, you learn that you are a better writer than you think and even though the class is lecture-based, you learn to listen well and what facts are more important to write down than others.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

I would advise you to record lectures so you can listen to them later, don't be afraid to ask questions, STUDY (I actually mean it) and read the textbook.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Mrs. Jones enables students to be independent and responsible with their studies. AP United States History exposes students to college level material.

    Course highlights:

I learned about American history and I developed an interest in government throughout the course. DBQs, Document-Based Questions, were the most challenging and rewarding part of the class. DBQs greatly strengthened my writing skills.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would tell students to study more than they have for other classes. They need to read the textbook and spend extensive time reviewing their notes.
