    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I gained valuable knowledge and understanding of how our government was designed to work and endure. I honestly believe if more people understood Constitutional government and that the United States is a Republic, we could see our country become and remain what the Founders hoped it would be.

    Course highlights:

That the Executive Branch only has the power given to it by the Constitution and whatever is allowed by the other two branches. It was not designed to be as powerful as it has become. The President is not supposed to be all-powerful. I also learned that the Founder's never intended the Judicial Branch to become as powerful as it is today. The Founders had great insight and understanding and you can read the Federalist Papers and see things occurring in our time that was warned against.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Allow plenty of time for reading, take notes. Re-read if possible to get the most out of the class. It is worth more than a grade.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It was a straightforward and informative course. I would recommend it for anyone trying to balance a busy schedule and course work.

    Course highlights:

I learned more about my state's political system than I ever though possible. One highlight of the course was a discussion thread over one's state political party.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you understand the text well enough to find the correct answers on the open book tests.
