Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Mr. Mueller takes the subject of business law, what many would assume is quite boring, and makes it interesting, fun, and applicable. Even if you're not planning on going into law or owning your own business, I would recommend taking this class for its applicability to everyday life. The course teaches you aspects of law that relate to anyone, and that should be understood by everyone.

    Course highlights:

My favorite section of this course was learning about common law. Within common law, I enjoyed learning about torts and negligence and the multiple ways cases can be tried. Pretty much everything involving litigation was interesting to me.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

As long as you pay attention in class and do the required reading (which can get pretty long if you try to do it all the night before), anyone can do well in this class.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I absolutely love this class. Not only is Mr. Mueller a fantastic teacher, but the information in this class will help my future as I want to pursue a Business major. I also enjoy the fact that law has so many opinions and sides to listen to. It gives you a worldview on how the government truly works and how businesses function while under regulation.

    Course highlights:

I enjoy learning about the complexities of court. Many see only what occurs on television, but it is more complicated. There are federal and state courts, several jurisdictions, and several ways to avoid court such as alternate dispute resolutions. This might seem like basics to the standard lawyer, but to the ordinary citizen, they are crucial to understand in order to fully comprehend the judicial brand of the United States government.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would recommend taking the course even if you are not sure you want to be a lawyer. The truth is the law applies to everyone. Mastering the law gives you insight to how to avoid court. This class gave me a thoughts about being a lawyer. You never know what you might like until you try!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course gives great insight into the details of all the dangers of the business world. Through this class one can learn all about the court system and risks taken before one enters the business world. Even for someone not planning on entering into a business-based career, this class could certainly benefit everyone and should be recommended.

    Course highlights:

In the fall my class and I went and sat in on a few jury trials. I found this very interesting as the majority of the terms used for sentencing and questioning we had covered and I could comprehend them. If I had not taken this class I certainly would have been lost during the trials

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

I would advise them to take the class! Even for those not planning on entering in the business world and thinking that these topics do not apply to you. These topics apply to all people in the United States. Even if these topics were not to apply, a simple, basic understanding of the law and ones rights does not hurt anyone.
