    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Although this is not a popular opinion among the students, I would definitely recommend this class! This course helps many students learn different unique ways to write essays. Not only that, but the course teaches students how to analyze a piece of writing and how to get a deeper meaning from what they have read. Also, a high school student who participates in dual enrollment, like me, get to have a little taste of college to prepare them on what to expect.

    Course highlights:

The knowledge that I took away from this course would most definitely be a major highlight. This course really teaches you just how to apply yourself in and out of the classroom. Another highlight would have to be the classroom discussions. The discussions you will have in this class really help you think beyond the surface about an article and really analyze it.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

To be able to succeed in this course you will need to make sure you always have your syllabus handy. As it is a college class, the professor does not remind you of any upcoming homework that you will need to complete online. Also, make sure that you take the drafts leading up to your final paper serious. As this will be the base of your final paper and what you will be revising in the upcoming weeks before the final due date. Finally, as we have all been told before, make sure to pay attention to the professor throughout class. He might give you some very helpful tips on your next big paper!
