Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Abreu was a good professor. His pacing was good, and he taught only what needed to be taught, not going into any unnecessary detail. The course in and of itself was good as well. It set a good foundation for molecular and cellular biology, and the things I learned I still use today. The only downside is that it did not touch on ecological biology (which personally I was fine with!)

    Course highlights:

The biggest thing were the basic structures of life. Protiens, lipids, carbs, DNA/RNA etc. We went down to the nitty gritty of what makes them up, how they are formed (bonds and such) and their purpose.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the book! No matter which professor you take, you should read. And don't just skim through it but it study it thoroughly. For Dr. Abreu specifically do the problem sets! It will help a lot when it comes to exams.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Abreu is very laid back compared to other professors which can be both a good and bad thing. But overall the course is not too bad, definitely do-able.

    Course highlights:

Laid back professor. There are a lot of TA's that are very accessible.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Utilize your resources. Read the book, review the lectures, do the Problem sets. If u have ANY questions go to office hours or TA sessions.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course is a basic course in Biology and is similar to AP Bio in High School if you have ever taken it.

    Course highlights:

It is basically a review of the things you learned in AP Biology if you took that class. If not, it is a good class to take before your other science credits.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not put off any work until the end. Always try to finish assignments as soon as possible.
