    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

He related everything to our lives, and he taught us life lessons throughout the course. I learned things about my culture that I didn't know, and my professor was the definition of a real college professor.

    Course highlights:

I was able to take the what I had learned in the course and teach my family what it meant to be African-American, what it meant to be a nationalist, and why the society needs to reflect back on history.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't just rely on the teacher to teach but the student must also teach themselves. You are in control of your grade not your teacher. A positive mindset is always good to have in the classroom. Don't suck up to your teachers but allow them to see your effort and what you can put out without seeming like a kiss-up.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because the Professor is a very good at helping in assignments and in different ways you can write your writing assignments. I would also recommend this course because the classwork material that you learn is very helpful with increasing your writing capability and it also helps with you in becoming more creative with your ideas and thoughts.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course was ta research paper we had to complete and also reading a large amount of stories that were very educational. I learned how to support my ideas in my writing assignments and also the history of authors in the stories that we read for classwork.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

The advice I would give students considering this course is to take your time in brain storming ideas and also supporting your ideas in your writing assignments. Also, to not be afraid to ask help from the professor in classwork or other assignments because the professor will help you with your assignments in order to succeed in the class and be the best that you can.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because Dr. Kay goes into depth the authors from around the world, their viewpoints, the different styles of writing, and into detail on the biographies of our greatest writers. Dr. Kay opened my eyes to other types of writings, and it let me understand a broader picture of what writing can accomplish.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course was the final exam. We had to pick an author from his list, and go into detail about their writings, their life, and their impact on the world.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Be open minded in this course. Some of the material might not be something that you enjoy reading, but take from it the knowledge of different styles of writing and create your own unique methods.
