Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class for a numerous amount of reasons. It begins teaching you how to break things down, analyze, and annotate. You also get to challenge your way of thinking. Not only that but you start critical thinking and thinking for yourself which is the goal for this generation.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course would be reading famous novels like The Catcher in the Rye and The Great Gatsby. Both books were a bit difficult to comprehend just reading them on my own before the course but after reading it in my AP Language class, I got to understand the importance of language and how to properly use it.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The advice I would give to the students considering this course would be to always pay attention to detail, take notes any chance you get, keep up with your outside of school reading assignments, and ask questions. These were the most important things I got out of this course.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Ms. Davis was a great teacher. I learned many new aspects of language and she prepared me for the AP test. I recommend this class because not only was I taught how to read literature, i was also taught how to completely break it down. I learned about rhetorical devices and how they are used to strength authors ideas, points, or focuses.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this class was learning how to break down novels. Authors can be very wordy in their works, which makes it hard to understand. Ms. Davis taught us how to look at the words and their deeper meanings. She made us think like authors and that's when i learned how to read like an author.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Be ready to read great books. Her book choices are always great. They really make you think on your feet. Also start preparing for the AP test early. It seems so far away but it really comes up fast. Start learning how to write well written essay because that's a big part of the AP test.
