Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This is one of the best classes I have taken in high school, the reason being both the teacher and the content of the course. For people who enjoy learning in depth about relevant, recent historical topics, this class is ideal.

    Course highlights:

I really enjoyed learning about the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960's. A lot of the topics and sentiments present in the class are being reflected in America now, with police violence and racial tension on the rise. Typically, history classes are forced to glaze over important events because of the sheer volume of history there is to study, but this class is meant to provide a deep understanding of a shorter period of time which I believe is a more effective way of learning history.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

The best advice is to keep the study material. This is typically a two-year course, and it's easy to forget what has been learned by the second year. In addition, it's necessary to not only take and study notes but to understand the connections between events, and the implications. It's always good to look outside of the class for independent, historical perspectives to improve your position, especially during essays.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this course because rather than a difficult history class that tries to get you to understand knowledge pertaining to a lengthy amount of time, this course provides you with information regarding few countries, the Americas, and how they have played a role in relation to other countries within a smaller time period of history.

    Course highlights:

This entire course was a highlight. From the most influential presidents of the United States to the Cuban Missile Crisis to the Arab Israeli Conflict, every topic of study was extremely interesting.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study hard and critically think about the questions this corse poses as there is an emphasis on discussion of the material.
