Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I highly recommend taking this course due to the amazing learning environment and how much knowledge I've obtained while having fun. The professor is a great guy who genuinely cares how each student is doing and works to have everyone succeed. It was an enjoyable class and I highly recommend taking it.

    Course highlights:

I've learned numerous concepts through taking this course such as, how to thoroughly color mark anything and commentate about it for a long period of time, how to interpret the content of what I was reading, how to better manage my time, and how to appreciate the little things in life.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

You need to have good time managing skills, work well with others, take notes and be ready to learn. I would bring highlighters to mark your reading material and sticky notes to take notes on and put in the reading material.

The advice I would give students considering this course is to pay attention to what studies correlate to which parts of the unit.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It is a well rounded course that encourages you to analyze literature and question the author's intentions. In this course I have learned how to find motifs in both poetry and literature, how to color mark, and how to discuss literature with those around me.

    Course highlights:

Class discussions about the books we read are especially enjoyable. We would move the desks so that everyone is a part of a large circle and could see each others faces with placards on our desks. One person would begin the discussion, often connected to the elements of literature, and then that person had to wait until at least two other people had spoken to speak again. In this way, one or two people did not end up carrying the discussion and encouraged involvement.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not procrastinate, and take the work seriously. It is especially important to review the books frequently for you to do well on your IOP, and IOC.
