Requires Lots of Research
Not too easy. Not too difficult.
I recommend this course to anyone that is in the College of Business Administration at Georgia Southern. Dr. Stewart does such a great job of teaching the Lean Startup method to starting a business that can be applied to not only startups but to every management practice in business.
If you take this course, be prepared for his huge project that he requires you to do and to dedicate all of your valuable time to do it. The project consists of you partnering up with 5 other students in the class and coming up with an idea to start a business. Then you have to take the idea from a seed and grow it into a well though out and drawn up business model. He uses The Business Model Canvas, such be prepared to know everything about that. I learned through this project that it is NOT about the idea, it is all about the team around the idea that really gets a business off the ground and moving. Also, I learned that customer research is EVERYTHING in starting a business and validating your idea prior to investing any serious capital into it. You have got to validate your value proposition and prototype by getting out of your seat, going outside and interviewing potential customers. Analyze that feedback and live by it, so that hopefully you don't put unnecessary time, effort, and money into a product or service that NOBODY wants.

Advice for students:
Be prepared to devote 80% of your study time to this course and it's project. Don't worry, you'll be fine and I promise that you will gain valuable knowledge that you can apply to many aspects of your life. Just do the work and do your customer research!
