    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

BIOL 2108 is a difficult course. Dr. Carroll is a fantastic professor, but she is very serious about her job. Her tests are not easy, so do not take them lightly. Try to go to her office hours as much as you can, and get to know her on a personal level.

    Course highlights:

Dr. Carroll has a soft spot for evolution. My class spoke about evolution for bout two months. We also spent a lot of time on cladograms. But these tools are very useful for future topics. We learned a lot about natural selection and evolutionary relationships. The book is a good tool for this course.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Get to know Dr. Carroll. When studying, it is useful to look over her power points while reading the book. Always complete your mastering biology on time and to its fullest extent. Go to office hours as much as you can. She loves when you know what you're talking about. Never come into class clueless. If you think you are asking a dumb question, your probably are, and she will embarrass you.
