Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Reichard is a wonderful professor! Just sit back and listen to what he is saying and do not fool around. He is very good at treating his students like adults and explaining things in a very understandable manner. This is a class that you will get however much you put into it, right back out.

    Course highlights:

I really liked how he did optional test reviews the day before each test. You would have to go on your own time, but I remember during the exams thinking "I remember going over this yesterday during the review" I liked that the material was clear and organized. There are not any group projects in the lecture portion, but you do have to sign up with a lab for this course. Take lots of notes. Do the reading because he puts questions on the exams from the articles and stuff he has the class read.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Always go to class!! He doesn't take attendance so it is very easy to skip but DO NOT DO IT!!! If you do it once, you'll want to keep doing it. Just go for it and listen.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It's a very interesting course. However it's also a very large class which does not allow one on one interaction with the teacher who is one of the best professors for that course that I have experienced.

    Course highlights:

I learnt about the characteristics of the earth and we humans as a whole have affected it.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Always go to class and everything is important. Also go to office hours and do the homework.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This guy is the best, and he knows everything about geology. If you show up to class and make a point to talk to the professor after class, you'll do great. It isn't just about rocks

    Course highlights:

Don't build nuclear power plants on subduction zones!

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Show up to class and do the homework. That's all there is to this class. It's interesting, but I know a lot of people take it because it's easier than the other environmental sciences
