    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Why the course was challenging, Dr. Svec was a really nice professor. She was very approachable which made the learning easier because you could go and ask her to explain something and she would. Plus the material was really interesting.

    Course highlights:

I learned the basics of biology. I went from learning about macromolecules, to learning about the smallest cell. Most of it was learning about the cell and how it works. Then it went into all the different purposes of proteins, carbohydrates, lipids and fats.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the book and do the pre lecture guides. Also take really good notes, make sure to go to every class! And talk to Dr. Svec, she is a really nice person and will help you through the tough information.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It's a very easy course, you just gotta follow instructions and write down the material you hear in class.

    Course highlights:

Highlights of this course were working with the experiments. Learned how to write science papers and do actual experience.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Listen in class and write everything down when your professor talks. Study the equipment and lab manual.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

She wasn't a great professor. Her test were not easy and they included a lot of application problems. If you do not keep up with your reading and thoroughly do your pre lecture guides/quizzes you will very confused in lecture. It is very difficult because her lecture is a review and it is too many students in the class for her to explain everything.

    Course highlights:

This class was heavily focused on cell division which was very cool. I learned a lot about the biology of cells. I also learned about many things such as cell division and how cells function.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

For students who are considering this course please take this class very seriously. Take great notes, read the book and frequently go to her office hours. If you do not put any effort in this course you will fail.
