Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because the teacher covers the material very well and does not give you too much of a workload.

    Course highlights:

I had never taken an accounting class before so I guess the highlight of the class for me would have been learning how to set up income statements, balance sheets, and statements of stockholders' equity.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The main piece of advice I would offer to students about to take this class would be to not be afraid to get tutoring. Understanding the vocabulary of accounting can be difficult at first so getting some extra help from others never hurts.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I wouldn't recommend taking this course during Term A, which was a month long course. I struggled in the course because it was fast paced, so I had to dedicate many hours to studying and my homework exercises. I would recommend taking the course over a Fall or Spring semester especially if you are interested in starting a business.

    Course highlights:

Although the course was fast paced, I did take some valuable information away from the material that was covered during the semester. I was enlightened on the procedures of what an accountant has to follow, and I also learned different ways to calculate if starting a business would be profitable or not.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

To be successful in this course, you will need a calculator, pencil and paper or Microsoft Excel if you prefer calculating numbers in the program, and at least 2-3 hours a day set aside to understand and grasp the concept of the course. With dedication and an eagerness to learn you will succeed in this class.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I took the class online, and I enjoyed the way she presented the lecture notes and videos for the class to utilize.

    Course highlights:

The best things about the course were the ATC Assignments. This broke the trend of just simply doing the budgets and repetitve calculations. This allowed us to apply the concepts we learned.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the Textbook to get a better understanding of the powerpoints.
