    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I recommend taking AP US History because I feel it is important for every U.S. citizen to be educated on the history of their nation. Today, the rate at which citizens pass the citizenship test is painfully low. We as a society should know enough about our history to pass such a test. More so, an educated public is a better voting public. To make effective use of the democracy we are blessed to have, it requires educated, civic participation.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course was learning how today's political parties came to be. Despite their conservative nature today, no less than 100 years ago, Republicans supported the ideals that Democrats champion today. Furthermore, not many realize that Republicans and Democrats are not so different from each other.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

To succeed in APUSH, time management is an absolute must.
