Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because writing effectively is important throughout college and beyond. Taking this class in high school allows you to enter college with the knowledge and confidence to communicate in all of your classes.

    Course highlights:

While I struggled at the very beginning, this class has allowed me to improve my writing skills whether it be the content I choose to write about, being concise or actual sentence structure. Also, the class has made me comfortable writing papers in short periods of time.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

One piece of advice that I would give to future students is to be diligent in completing all of the assigned work on time. What may appear to be "busy" work, is really more opportunity to practice and enhance your writing skills.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

English 101 not only counts as highschool credit, it also counts as college credit. Everyone wants to get ahead as much as they can for college. Just remember it is a college class, it won't be easy, but it will be worth it.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to show and not tell. The first essay we did was people watch. We had to describe a moment in time for three pages.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Listen, work hard, and ask for help. Ask the kids in that class, just ask for help. English 101 is a college class, they don't expect you to know everything.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this class because it is one of those classes that is easier to get out of the way in high school instead of college.

    Course highlights:

Throughout this course I learned how to construct a proper essay. During this class you will have you write a few more essays, but wouldn't you rather write them in high school instead of in college and have to pay much more for the courses. This class teaches you many things that you will use again. This class helped me become a better writer and even write better essays for scholarships. This class will be a huge help.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not wait to do the essays last minute. Writing a 5 page essay at 3 in the morning is not as easy as it might seem. Give yourself time to plan out the essay and write it. Writing it in advance will give you time to proof read your essay and check for mistakes. Fixing a simple mistake could be the difference between an A and a B.
