Not too easy. Not too difficult.

Ms. Nguyen may give a lot of busy work to finish our portfolios and scholarships early in the semester, but it is so worth it in the end.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Do not slack off because you will fall behind and become stressed.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Taking AVID classes have helped me with applying for colleges. The class is teaching me the importance of having items ready for the senior portfolio. Lastly, this class pushed me to apply for scholarships, especially since the teacher grades how many scholarships you apply for.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course was applying for colleges. My counselor came in during class and helped us with the process. It gave me time to actually do my applications and to go over them to make sure that all the information was correct.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not procrastinate. If you start procrastinating, it leads to more homework in the end. Start your work early if you have the time. Make it easier for yourself down the line as the semester progresses.
