    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

AP Biology is a must take course that teaches students valuable lessons in how to manage their time and self study. The hard work is definitely worth it in the end and the course will teach you many skills on how to work in groups, study on your own, and utilize external resources.

    Course highlights:

Aside from the vast amounts of biology knowledge, I learned how to use outside resources that just weren't the teacher or the textbook. I learned how to search for more on the subjects, like finding videos and other forms of text to gain different viewpoints and wordings that made sense to me.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

The class is not for someone who is willing to put in the work and anyone who wants an "easy A." To do well in this class you have to be dedicated and responsible with your work in studies because the teachers will not hand you information. Learning how to do things on your own and in a responsible manner is essential to this course.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class covers a lot of material, and the coursework can be heavy, but it is very rewarding. You will do fine if you set aside time to do your Reading Guides and study for the frequent quizzes.

    Course highlights:

The labs were my favorite part of this course, we created protobionts, did gel electrophoresis, and modeled DNA among other things.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Utilize the online textbook and the practice tests on the site, they will save you when it comes to Reading Guides and chapter quizzes, and is much easier to carry around than the hard copy of the textbook.
