Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It's a great subject to take, even if you're not interested in the sciences. It refines your skills in writing up labs as much as it does teach you how to learn, which is probably the most important skill we learned in Mr. Gastauer's class.

    Course highlights:

I took both AP Bio 2 and IB Bio 3, but because they didn't have the Bio 3 as an option on here, I'm just going to talk about both. Basically, we learned the chemistry of water and how it functions why it functions, almost everything there is to know about evolution, how DNA is passed on, Mendelian genetics, mitosis, meiosis, transcription, translation, a lot about carbohydrates, proteins, and lipids, cellular respiration, photosynthesis, and anatomy of the human body. When I say the human body, we learned all of the organs that are involved in the digestive and circulatory system, and our final was based on our ability to recognize these organs in the fetal pigs we were dissecting. Even with all of this, I probably didn't even cover everything. Overall, this class seems difficult at first when you're figuring everything out at the beginning of a new section, but hard work in understanding what you're learning will pay off.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Just don't wait until the days before the tests to start studying the subject of each section. Like in anything, just don't procrastinate.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Biology was by far, my favorite science class. This class was relatable and interesting. The teacher used real life examples to make the students stay awake and understand the topics. Overall this class was amazing even if it had its hard moments.

    Course highlights:

I learned about cells, their components,DNA and how it works, I learned about viruses and what different kinds were and how it affected the world.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do your work. If you don't do your work you are going to suffer. Also don't fall asleep.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I admit I was scared at the beginning on joining this course. I doubted my learning skills and was scared to fail because I had earned only C's in Honors Lab Bio. My teacher encouraged me to not quit and consider AP Lab Bio as one of my courses that year. When taking quizzes, I was able to look back at my errors and attempt to fix them. I felt secure when I took notes and was able to review quizzes before retaking.

    Course highlights:

From taking this course, I was able to gain more knowledge and experience about college level work in science. I am now capable of taking effective notes, reviewing, and taking tests. I can say I am somewhat prepared and that giving up can not be an option when hard work can pay off.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I think that having good studying skills will help students succeed in this course.
