Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Taking public speaking in high school was the best thing I ever did! The classes are smaller so the anxiety of speaking in front of a huge class of 300 is not as bad! Public seaking instructors are the most critical but also the most helpful. They will always let you know your good speaking qualities & when somethig needs work or improvement.

    Course highlights:

I learned proper speaking methods, such as tone, speed, pitch, and how to present multimedia presentations in the correct manner when delivering a message to a group of people. I also learned the basics of what exactly a persuasive, informative, and special occasion speech is. This class helped boost my personality and self confidence when it comes to speaking in front of others. People skills are a huge part of society especially when it comes to a job. This class helped me to gain those skills that will help me in the future.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

In a public speaking class, I thought there wouldn't be much to study. However, there are several quizzes from the textbook that you must read to know the different types of speeches and how to propery do them. It is not just a class that you talk in and present different subjects to a class. This class mus be taken seriously especially when it comes to presentation day. Appearance and an individual's overall attitude and approach to their topic goes a long way when it comes to winning over not only your instructor but also your audience that is watching your presentation.
