Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this class. Over the course of this class, you will learn how to dissect literary works and be able to understand them to a deeper level. You also learn how to be a more effective writer, and you are exposed to techniques you may not have used in the past. Mrs. Cosby is a wonderful teacher as well. She loves what she does, and it is apparent. She is willing to help you, but she allows you to discover things on your own so you will truly learn it.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course for me was learning how to grasp the deeper meaning out of books. Because of this class, I have been able to read the books assigned for Summer Reading more effectively and be able to draw many of the themes, motifs, and symbols by myself. It is truly fulfilling.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to be successful in this class, you need to prepared to do some independent learning. The concepts are always introduced to you, but sometimes you are expected to learn the ideas by yourself, and it is your job to ask questions if needed. You also need to be able to think deeply and critically. This class is more about the authors purpose for writing and effect it has on the writer, so you have to be able to think critically.
