    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course because it is a dual enrollment class which means you get college credit for it.

    Course highlights:

There are a lot of topics discussed in this class and I definitely learned something new everyday.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Keep up on the articles you are assigned to read and stay ahead of the game when it comes to typing your essays. Once you get behind it is hard to catch up.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it is a very challenging class but at the need of the semester when you look back at your work when you started and your final essay you can see the growth in your writing

    Course highlights:

My vocabulary has taken a huge leap forward. I have learned how to analyze a short story or a fictional poem of some sort, connect a thesis to my body paragraphs more thoroughly, and revising my own essays.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

DO NOT PROCASTINATE! Start finding quotes, analyzing, or figuring out your thesis as soon as you are given the rubric.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class because it not only includes writing essays with good feedback on what you can do to improve your paper, but also includes thorough and detailed class discussions where everyone can give their input.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course was definitely the class discussions, specifically the ones when we can write online. Some people are nervous to share their opinions out loud to their classmates, but reading a selected article and being able to type your views on the subject gives everyone a chance to express what they think. I learned how to write proper essays that, not only answered the guideline questions, but also gave detailed reasoning behind my opinions.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Some advice I would give to students considering this course would be to stay on top of your reading assignments and essays. Some days you might have to read an article and be prepared to have a group discussion the next day. If you don't remember to read the articles it can be difficult to follow along in the class conversations, especially when people are talking about a specific section of the article. Also, make sure you work on your essays little by little everyday so you don't have to spend hours trying to write the entire thing in one night. This strategy prevents you from stressing about your essay and also gives you a chance to go back, reread, and revise if you want to add something to your essay later that you might not have thought of before.
