    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This is a mandatory class if you are looking to apply to the nursing cohort. The class itself is overwhelming, but is definitely interesting if you are going into the medical field. You really get insight on how the body functions. Plus, Dr. Kwan makes it so interesting and is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to this topic. She will do everything in her power to help you succeed.

    Course highlights:

Honestly, any time in the lab was interesting. Learning about information in a textbook is one thing, but being able to see it hands on and touch different muscles and see different nerves close up helps you learn so much. Plus the dissections were really cool. I learned literally anything you can think about that has to do with the body!

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Just make sure you don't get behind when it comes to studying. Go home and study that topic the day after you get it. Kwan will give you a study guide for all of the tests so just print that out and start using that to help with taking notes in class.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course because it is essential in the fields that it is a requirement for, particularly for Nursing students who are the majority of students who take this class. The material taught throughout the class is difficult however, it is taught by professors who are passionate about this subject and who understand the necessity for breaking down the material on an easy to understand level.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were basically everything because it is extremely fascinating to learn about how each and every system of the body operates and functions to sustain human life.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

The major tips needed for this course are to NOT wait until a couple days prior to the test to begin studying and to read the chapters. Also, printing the powerpoints and bringing them to class helps with note-taking because you can write down what the teacher is saying rather than having to scribble down the notes from the slides during lecture and missing what the professor is teaching.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It is challenging, yet interesting. It opens your eyes to the amazing things that are going on in our bodies! I thoroughly enjoyed learning this material despite the difficulty.

    Course highlights:

You learn all the bones and muscles; you learn how they work and what they do. You learn how the different systems work together, and how beautifully complex our body is. You learn every small detail about things you can't even see with the naked eye, and you learn so many clinical applications to the real world, and how to become a great addition to the healthcare field.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Don't procrastinate. Study a little every day. Realize that, if you are in this class, it is because this is the direction you want to go with you life, and use that to fuel your drive to do well.
