Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Greatest professor I've ever had. I failed A&P when I first took the course, but taking the course with Kwan was a breeze.

    Course highlights:

I learned alot about the human structure and function. The highlights of this course were the lab. Kwan made it very fun and interesting.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

I would suggest doing all of the assignments and study guides for each exam. I also suggest reading the chapter before it is discussed in class. This gives you a good headstart.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Chandler brings such passion to his field of teaching that he makes this class such a terrific experience and learning environment. Not only did I find the material fascinating, but he taught me concepts that I used in future classes in medical school. His wife, Linda, sometimes runs the Anatomy Lab on his behalf. She is absolutely wonderful! She loves to teach, and explains things better than every other professor there in the lab. I wish I could take the class again!

    Course highlights:

The anatomy dissections were my highlight of the entire year. This hands-on experience is unlike any other as you explore the structures of brains, hearts, uteruses, and more. Seeing images in a textbook is one thing, but experiencing it first hand is such a treat and learning opportunity.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study his slides more than anything! Ask yourself, "If he wanted to test over this concept, how might he ask the question on the exam?" Having this mindset really helped me score well on his tests.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This is a mandatory class if you are looking to apply to the nursing cohort. The class itself is overwhelming, but is definitely interesting if you are going into the medical field. You really get insight on how the body functions. Plus, Dr. Kwan makes it so interesting and is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to this topic. She will do everything in her power to help you succeed.

    Course highlights:

Honestly, any time in the lab was interesting. Learning about information in a textbook is one thing, but being able to see it hands on and touch different muscles and see different nerves close up helps you learn so much. Plus the dissections were really cool. I learned literally anything you can think about that has to do with the body!

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Just make sure you don't get behind when it comes to studying. Go home and study that topic the day after you get it. Kwan will give you a study guide for all of the tests so just print that out and start using that to help with taking notes in class.
