    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Not only is it one of the best AP courses at JHS, the teacher is one of the best you'll ever have.

    Course highlights:

I personally enjoy history, but this class made in fun and engaging to really learn about what made America how it is today.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't expect light work. You will be pushed. But if you put in the effort you will do just fine.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this course to any student, whether you are interested in history or not. This course has taught me more about history than I have learned in my entire learning career. This course prepares you for college, as you are tested on large portions of material, receive minimal to no classwork grades, and write essays from pure knowledge with a very strict grading process.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were the chapters about American history when I learned about the raw and brutal facts of America's rough beginnings, especially in the late 1800s and early 1900s. I learned the not-so-kind facts about how cruel our ancestors treated immigrants, minorities, and low-class workers, which is often glanced over in early history classes to ensure American pride is to diminished. I thoroughly enjoyed the in-class discussions about America's dark past, and how our nation grew, and is still growing, from those challenges.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

My advice to students considering this course is to go for it, but be all in. This is a tough class that you should set aside 1-2 hours a night to read and review. My advice would be to take this class whether you enjoy history or not, because it greatly prepares you for the load and studying involved in college. Additionally, I am fortunate enough to have a teacher that is passionate for history, which automatically pushes me to work harder in the class.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Mr.Nelson is a great teacher. He communication with us like a normal human being. He do not consider himself better than us. You also need knowledge of past history.

    Course highlights:

Throughout the whole course I enjoyed the Era of the Great Depression. Knowing that our country has reached such a low point in society but yet able to overcome.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you study dates and be prepared for pop quizzes.
