    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course if you want to expand on your reading and writing.

    Course highlights:

I have learned how to interpret reading in a whole new way by speaking about it along with writing in a different writing style then I am used to.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to do the reading along with take notes on the reading if you want to do well on the essays and quizzes.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This is by far the most rewarding course that I have taken in my high school years. Since completing this course I find myself attempting to convince others to take it, a sign of the passion that AP Lit created within me.

    Course highlights:

My main take away from this course was the importance of literature. Within the philosophical pages of Moby Dick and Madame Bovary I learned about myself. If this doesn't strike your interest, I perfected my timed writing, a skill that I have used on finals and AP exams since then, and this generally translates into all subjects.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

This course is a large work load and time consumer, be prepared each day in class to answer difficult questions about the reading from last night. The teachers can always tell if you only used web help instead of doing the actual reading. However, the hard work was well worth the stress, and I think back on this class with fondness as I remember the eye-opening metaphors and allusions.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this course. It was interesting, the work wasn't overwhelming and the teacher was really good. I learned a lot during this course.

    Course highlights:

The highlights would probably be that we read interesting books this year. I learned how to interpret different symbols in stories and how to better understand Shakespeare's writing.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would recommend staying on top of the reading, because if you get behind you won't do well on the quizzes and then its really hard to catch up.
