Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because the teachers show you a whole new insight on Society, History, and how we think as people. The teachers do a great job with holding students responsible for their work, however there is a new assignment everyday.

    Course highlights:

History Day was a good experience. The teachers broke things down to make the process simple.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not procrastinate an turn in all work on time.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This was my favorite course of my high school experience. You not only learn about history but you learn about life lessons. I will forever remember this class.

    Course highlights:

My favorite part of the class, was once a week my teachers would take time to teach us about current events. Keeping up with what goes on in this world you would think is a given. There are so many of my classmates who don't keep up with the news. This class provided a outlet so we can discuss current events like the black lives matter campaign.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Take this class, you will not regret it. Sure it's a lot of work but it is truly a once in a life time experience

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

American Studies really challenged me to think for myself and perform at a college level. I was surprised at how much the teachers wanted us to think for ourselves and consider the "how" of "why"s of what we were learning and reading. Even though I had already been through an American Literature course and a good amount of U.S. History in my previous high school years, American Studies covered the material at a substantial depth.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to craft a detailed, thorough thesis statement for each paper we worked on. I also learned that time management is extremely important, especially when I was putting together our final project or editting my History Day paper.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

I would tell students that are interested to be prepared for explicitly answering the writing prompts when assigned a paper. It can really make or break your overall grade. Also, you need to be flexible and reliable because there is a moderate amount of group work.
