    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend actually taking this course through CWI over the summer of your junior year.

    Course highlights:

I would take this during the summer because it leaves u without all the stress of having English during your senior year. Through CWI, it is easy to accomplish over the summer and you get the same amount of credit and the high school accepts the credit as theirs also.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Same as I said above. Do it through CWI.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course to students because it is a challenge, yet you get out of it what you put into it. This class focuses on different styles of writing, and the tools utilized when writing to persuade vs to inform vs analyze.

    Course highlights:

By taking this course, I am learning how to get ideas across in a precise matter and really make every word count. One of the many highlights is getting a paper back every time, and seeing how much you have improved. It is so gratifying.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

To best succeed in this course, I would recommend doing homework assignments and papers on time, because the workload continues to increase throughout the year, and falling behind on papers doesn't allow for much improvement since you aren't able to see your progress as a writer.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Not only was this a difficult course, but it also helped me immensely improve my English writing skills. I now feel better prepared for college and a future career. This class takes a lot of effort, however you get out of it what you put into it. It's very informational and gets students thinking about English in ways they never did before.

    Course highlights:

In taking the class, it was fun to see how I improved in every paper. It also showed me a few of my weaknesses and helped me improve them. My organization of paper is now so much better, and I am able to now read my paper and edit it myself and know exactly where the areas for improvement are.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to do all the assignments on time. There's a lot of independence in the class, however if your don't stick to the schedule, you'll be stressed out, you won't get very good grades, and it's hard for you to improve. Also, make sure to always go in and ask when you have a question or want the teacher to look over your paper.
