    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class was hard but yet I learned so much and had lots of fun! Ms. Simonson was a fantastic teacher who pushed you but was flexible if you had other outside things affecting your school work.

    Course highlights:

I learned lots about the English language and grammar. I also learned who to write effective timed essays and how to write college statements.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Meet the due dates! The farther behind you get, the harder it is to catch up and stay caught up.

    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend actually taking this course through CWI over the summer of your junior year.

    Course highlights:

I would take this during the summer because it leaves u without all the stress of having English during your senior year. Through CWI, it is easy to accomplish over the summer and you get the same amount of credit and the high school accepts the credit as theirs also.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Same as I said above. Do it through CWI.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course to students because it is a challenge, yet you get out of it what you put into it. This class focuses on different styles of writing, and the tools utilized when writing to persuade vs to inform vs analyze.

    Course highlights:

By taking this course, I am learning how to get ideas across in a precise matter and really make every word count. One of the many highlights is getting a paper back every time, and seeing how much you have improved. It is so gratifying.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

To best succeed in this course, I would recommend doing homework assignments and papers on time, because the workload continues to increase throughout the year, and falling behind on papers doesn't allow for much improvement since you aren't able to see your progress as a writer.
