Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class taught me so much about starting a business of my own. Economics plays a large part in the study of marketing, and when learning about how these two studies intertwine, there are a lot of lessons you can learn about pacing yourself down the road.

    Course highlights:

I think the biggest influence this class had on me was the study of presentation. Presentation in marketing can make or break a business. Luckily, we as people have better chances of changing our reputations, but this study helps us to understand the importance of how we are perceived. When starting a business, presentation and showing the world what you have to offer is the most important. Once the business comes in, and the public knows who you are, it is important for the individuals' reputations to maintain a clean image. Most businesses are constantly in competition, so if your business fails, your customers have other options.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

This class is more fun than you think. You will write a lot of papers, do a lot of research and make a lot of PowerPoints. Do not let these things discourage you when you see what is due. The work is not at all as much as it looks. When doing research, don't search only for the answers, but READ the material. What you study is actually incredibly interesting and beneficial to life after high school. Trust me, if you read more to learn instead of reading to get answers, you will get work done quickly. You will learn so much if you are listen optimistically.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This course will help develop a student's view of the economic world. Understanding why businesses make certain decisions will help students to prosper in the near future. Computer Skills are also developed in this course. The class required writing many essays and even creating a new website.

    Course highlights:

In this course students also learn how to handle money. The basic understanding of taxes and mortgages are discussed throughout the course. This will help any student to having a head start in life compared to other students. Learning why businesses promote the way they do and what customers they try to target will help students understand what businesses they should buy from and not to buy from other companies.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Reading comprehension is required throughout the course. Many of the activities require reading scenarios and writing out how to solve the economic issue. Learning basic computer skills will allow a student to have a head start compared to other students, because the use of Word and Excel is very common.
