    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

For this class, you will have to devote most of your time and sleep so if you are willing then go for it! If you are going to take chem in college I would recommend that rather, because everything is rushed in AP Chem. HL Chemistry can be hectic though.

    Course highlights:

Learning the material. I absolutely love the concepts and everything but it takes up most of time, not giving me time to study for other classes.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Students taking this course should be diligent students and commitmed to devoting time necessary for this class.

    | Would recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It is a very difficult course to take and you will end up spending a lot of your weekends writing lab reports or studying for tests. But this class has taught me a lot and the teacher is very kind and helpful.

    Course highlights:

I really liked my class and how we have a chemistry sub community where we all understand the struggles of the class and help one another out. I learned some very higher level chemistry like how nuclear power plants work and interesting things like this will put me ahead.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I recommend taking AP chemistry before because the AP class has a lot of preliminary information that makes HL Chemistry a lot easier.

    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it combined math with science, my two favorite subjects, in one course.

    Course highlights:

By taking this course, you will be able to know most if not all of the periodic table, types of chemical reactions and acids and bases.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

When taking this course, pay attention in class and if you don’t understand something ask questions because you will be completely lost for the rest of the year.
