This course provided an excellent overview of the criteria used to identify, diagnose and treatment for various psychological disorders.
The highlights of the course were the identification of mental disorders, the history of psychology as a science and the pioneers of the field, and perspectives on how these disorders originate. We covered 18 of the 20 chapters in the textbook so there was an immense amount of information to take away from the course. The greatest lesson was the criteria used for assessment and diagnosis of the various psychological disorders.

The greatest advice is to read each chapter. Compared to some textbooks the chapters are not long, however the reading is the most important part of the course.
