    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This was the toughest course with the toughest teacher I have ever taken. Ms. Knowles demands excellence. She pushes us more than we think is possible bringing out the very best in all of us.

    Course highlights:

The focus of this course was advancing our writing skills and analysing literature in multiple ways. The course work challenged me but more importantly the teacher pushed me further than I ever thought possible. She is by far the teacher who had the greatest impact on me.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared to work the hardest you have ever worked. You will learn more about yourself than you ever thought possible. Keep an open mind to the different knowledge you will be expected to analyse. You will also learn so much about fellow students through group discussions.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Mrs. Knowles has a unique perspective and an incredibly straightforward teaching style. She is always challenging her students to look deeper into the text and analyze for yourself what it means, rather than to rely on her interpretation.

    Course highlights:

I've learned so much about interpreting literature and comprehensive reading.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely do the readings. She will expect you to have a well thought out interpretation and analysis. Don't just Spark Notes the book.
