Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Perry is a wonderful teacher, she's funny but is also strict. I would recommend this course because it's a course that has the difficulty to prepare you for college.

    Course highlights:

The course did require students to read a lot, but most books we read were very interesting and Mrs. Perry taught us how to read a book and find deeper meanings that we never would've seen on our own. I believe that is a good skill to have when beginning college.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

To succeed in this class you need to be strict with yourself and make time for your homework. It is a lot of time, but the work isn't hard. All you have to do is read. Don't wait till the last minute to finish because it's too much reading to do late at night in an hour.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Not only did I learn more about writing in this course than ever before, But I also got to have discussions in an environment where I felt comfortable saying things about race and the current culture we live in.

    Course highlights:

I gained insight into other cultures and some of the stereotypes that go along with their race.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

definitely read the books and make sure you understand them. If you don't then make sure that you reread the section that you are

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class to students. The teacher is very nice and she made the class fun. We learned a lot and were very well prepared for the AP exam in May.

    Course highlights:

We learned many of things in this class, We read many different types of books which allowed us read different genres. For all the books we read we did a paper which she graded as if it was an AP exam or we did a project. We read a book on different poetry terms which also had examples of the terms. All of these things we learned really helped us on the AP exam.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Reading the books and not just spark noting the books will help you do better in the class. Do annotations for each book. Annotations will be helpful when it comes to seminars. We did seminars almost every day and she always asked the same question which was "what is the most important quote from the section you read and why?" Always come prepared to answer this question and be able to connect it to other parts of the book or other books you have read.
