Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course to a student who wants a challenge. The content is not necessarily difficult, and the teacher makes it interesting to learn. However, if you do not enjoy writing essays, maybe the class isn't for you as that is the entire first semester. The teacher is very helpful and willing assist in any way she can. Therefore, it is very manageable. I would suggest this course for someone who wants to get better at writing papers as well, since the teacher is dedicated and passionate about he long people achieve success.

    Course highlights:

I haven't finished the course yet, but so far the highlight would be the Cinderella unit. We had to compare two outside essays to each other in order to argue a point. I love Cinderella and beg about to watch the movie and write a paper over it was a blast. We write different types of essays in this class: summary, comparison, critique, comparative critique, comparative analysis, and research. It is very helpful to learn about these different types of papers and get experience writing them because it helps not only with writing but also with reading skills. You have to learn how to critically read works so that you can correctly utilize them in your essays.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would advise student staking this course to not procrastinate. The teacher is very nice when it comes to deadlines and she gives plenty of work time in class, so there is no reason to delay and stress about the work right before it is due. Work on it periodically and get it done in class where the teacher can provide assistance. Also, organize all your ideas before beginning to write the essay because that helps move the process along and make the actual writing part a breeze.
