    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course will aid you greatly if you take general chemistry in college as many of the topics are the same in both courses. Additionally, it will teach you to think critically and solve problems yourself rather than be spoon-fed information.

    Course highlights:

I learned many chemistry principles which I then applied to general chemistry in college, including but not limited to how to write chemical equations; acid/base reactions; equilibrium/le chatalier's principle; solubility, etc.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Study for tests will in advance-- don't wait until the night before. Also, do the problems when they are assigned, because notebook checks can give or take away easy points. If you do not understand a homework problem, come in either the afternoon or the morning before it is due to consult the solutions manual. However, do not just copy down the solution-- make sure you understand it because similar problems will likely be on the exam.
