    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I found this class extremely challenging, interesting, and fun. I enjoyed learning about the political and social development of our country, and how our society has gotten to where it is now.

    Course highlights:

My favorite unit was about the 1920's. There was incredible economic growth, as well as the challenging of social norms. For example, people started buying things on credit, which was one of the aggravating causes of the Great Depression. Also, women began wearing more makeup and shorter skirts, aggravating the older generation. Finally, it is the era of Jay Gatsby!

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Be ready to read, because it is necessary. Make notecards, timelines, and Venn diagrams to organize the information. Overall, be prepared to absorb hundreds of year's worth of information in just one.
