Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course really improved my ability to analyze literature and effectively write essays about it. We read a wide array of stories that were all very intriguing and well-written. Most importantly, it prepared us well for the AP exam. We did a lot of practice multiple choice that ended up being more difficult than the official test. We wrote a lot of essays in 40 minutes, to successfully write a good essay in the time allowed on the test.

    Course highlights:

The highlights were definitely the readings we did. We read a lot of great novels, poems, and short stories, and worked together to really understand them. Then, we really worked on eloquently writing about them, greatly improving all of our writing abilities.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Take it seriously. Even though all of the essays and multiple choice practice get excessive, it really does prepare you for the AP exam. Don't give up. At first, there is a lot of work. The "bootcamp" actually goes by really quickly, and you'll realize just how much it helps.
