    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because Mrs.Hernandez was one of the best English teachers I have ever taken.

    Course highlights:

At first, you may think that you won't get anything out of passing her class. However, you gain a plethora of skills and experience through going through her class. I can now write more detailed essays, included the different types of essays (narrative, persuasive, etc). Mrs. Hernandez also taught me (and will soon be able to teach you ) how to actively read a novel rhetorically, instead of just reading it to pass a test or quiz ( it can be done !). You will also learn a lot about yourself as a person through your writing in her class, as she makes you reflect on your weaknesses and how one can greatly improve on it, and last but not least, she definitely teaching you NOT to procrastinate.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

In order to succeed in Mrs.Hernandez class, you HAVE to stay on top of your work, because procrastinating will be the downfall of your success in high school if you start to fall behind on your work in her class.

    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I did not need an entire school year to learn the information covered. The novels we did read, however, were amazing, and our discussions were phenomenal and always interesting.

    Course highlights:

One will leave this class with a thorough understanding of rhetorical devices--ways in which an author gets his/her point across. It is important to understand these terms in order to truly appreciate the brilliance of novels, works, and their writers.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

The amount of time spent reading and analyzing rhetorical devices in these works is where a most of your time is spent. Time management is imperative to thrive.
