Pretty easy, overall.
These course was extremely enlightening. As an African American woman, I was very much so empowered to learn more, no only about my family's heritage, but also about our history and and heritage as African Americans in the country as a whole. There was never a dull moment in the class. The instructor was very passionate and very knowledgeable. It was so good, I almost changed my major.
I learned about the need for Afrocentricity in today's society and how much African culture played a role in the formation of modern societies in the areas of philosophy, art, etc. The course also explored in greater detail the horror of the middle passage and the injustice of the reconstruction era.
