    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

These course was extremely enlightening. As an African American woman, I was very much so empowered to learn more, no only about my family's heritage, but also about our history and and heritage as African Americans in the country as a whole. There was never a dull moment in the class. The instructor was very passionate and very knowledgeable. It was so good, I almost changed my major.

    Course highlights:

I learned about the need for Afrocentricity in today's society and how much African culture played a role in the formation of modern societies in the areas of philosophy, art, etc. The course also explored in greater detail the horror of the middle passage and the injustice of the reconstruction era.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

The course is definitely an eye opener. You will explore and learn all of the countries on the African continent. This course does not require much homework, it is all about information retention and class discussions. This is where you will most of your points. Be on time. The professor does deduct points for tardies and absences.
