This class was tough.
I recommend this class solely because it came in handy much sooner than I thought it would. I am a political science major and saw no need in learning digital media. However, only the summer after taking this class, I started working for a Business Attorney as her intern and learned that in order to run a law firm you have to not only understand the legal aspects of it, but the business and marketing side of it as well. This world is moving so into the all technology era that it is crucial to know how to use it. It also looks good on resumes. That summer I not only made podcasts for my boss, but I also photo shopped flyers, edited video for her firm, and managed her website. I would not have known how to do any of these things had it not been for this class and Dr. Cuneo pushing us to be creative and learn something beyond what was taught on the subject in class that day.
I learned how to make a gif which was fun in which I pulled a rabbit out of a hat. I made a short animation out of geometric shapes of a monkey shopping in Sprouts Farmers Market and trips on a can of soup knocking over a fixture of soups. I made a scary podcast of a ghost story with background movie. I made a video of my week called Keeping up with me. I learned to do all these things in this class. It was fun. Now when people mention Gimp, Audacity, or iMovie, I know how to use all of these softwares and more.

Advice for students:
Dr. Cuneo gives you a study guide. Do the study guide. Do all the homework too. Its basically guided reading and exploring the web for answers. Most answers are in the book tho. DO NOT BLOW THIS OFF. You will do so much better if you just do as he asks and follow all the directions. Don't skip steps and make sure you save your work EARLY and OFTEN. Also, when he tells you to exchange numbers with everyone on your row, its the best thing he could have ever done for you. I am still friends YES FRIENDS not class ex buddies BUT FRIENDS with those people. We had each others backs the whole semester since that moment. You will need each other. At first the class starts rough but soon you get how his class operates and you do better.
