Not too easy. Not too difficult.
Course Overview:
I would recommend this course for the reason that it will teach you many key topics that you will need for taking college level calculus. Also, if you like to solve challenging problems, this might be just your perfect choice.
Course highlights:
I learned to draw and analyze many graphs and learned quite a lot of equations that go with it. Not only that, I also became a pro at solving word problems.
Hours per week:
3-5 hours
Advice for students:
Make sure to do the homework on time and never procrastinate. Also, pay attention in class because some of the key concepts are very challenging and complicated that can easily drain you down.
This class was tough.
Course Overview:
Definitely, I would recommend this course, but only to those who have a passion for math and science. If academic challenges are something you enjoy, pre-calc is the course for you. Not only is is interesting, but the real-world applications are intriguing.
Course highlights:
Although difficult, the applications from this course are vast, from using trig functions in architecture, to making predictions based on equations, in addition to determining domains of functions to evaluate the possible scenarios in many types of engineering.
Hours per week:
12+ hours
Advice for students:
My advice would be to do as many practice problems as possible, every day. In addition, I would recommend drawing pictures for every problem, and keeping a note card nearby with necessary formulas. Finally, spend time each day doing a problem from each chapter you previously finished, for the purpose of constant review.
