Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class because it challenges you and makes you think. We are given new material to read every month, ranging anywhere from Othello to 1984. We are immersed in new vocabulary every week, and are given tests regularly to make sure we understand what we are learning.

    Course highlights:

Some of the highlights of this course were the interactive vocabulary exercises and the Socratic seminars. These helped me to better understand what we were currently learning. The Socratic seminars helped me to see different points of view on the book s we would read.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would advise future students to take this course seriously and put a lot of thought and effort into the papers. They are easier to write if you follow the format that the teacher gives you.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this course to any high school junior that isn't sure of their writing skills and aren't confident that they can write a college level essay. this course truly educated me on the rights and wrongs of how to write college worthy material. The one thing I will say is that it is not a course that will be easy, one must put in the hard work to see the final pay off of it all.

    Course highlights:

This course honestly taught me how to properly write a proficient college essay. Not only did I learn how to intrigue a reader but i also learned rhetorical strategies such as ethos, pathos, and logos. Those key strategies are essential to writing effective essays that not only persuade audiences, but also help them understand your point of view.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

To anyone taking this class, do not procrastinate. Yes you may think that it can be done the night before and may be possible, yet the score you get will reflect into how hard you worked. I would recommend always taking notes, and even putting reminders on your phone to notify you when something is due. Missing an assignment in this class is detrimental to your overall grade.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend the course because it helps you get used to a college work load and also improves your writing skills to be above the high school level of language and composition.

    Course highlights:

I gained the experience of a college course while still in high school. How to better my writing to be a high score on AP exams, as well as the work ethic to learn how to handle the work of such a course.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

You must manage your time very well, and be open to learning how to better your English skills.
