    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It was a great class not only within the science field, but also within life. It taught me how to balance school with my outside activities. Along with learning about my choices and how they directly affect my body and those around me.

    Course highlights:

I gained knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of the human body. I learned the many systems and the locations and functions of very single thing within the body along with abnormalities. Also, I gained insight into my own life and how every choice I make everyday directly affects me and those around me. I not only gained knowledge in this class, but i also gained insight into my life and it pushed me to be a better student and a better person as a whole.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

This course is definitely one to take even if you are not going into this field of work. I am not going into that field of work and I highly recommend students to take this course. It helps to develop you as a person and as a student. It teaches you many life lessons along the way that will help you in the future.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This is one of the most informational classes Baldwin High School offers to students. The teacher will help students learn, and actually understand the different parts of the body,as well as the function of each bone and muscle. This course also offers two field trips, which allows students to witness an open heart surgery, as well as an organ transplant. Although this course is a lot of work, it really helps students in the end, whether they are going into the medical field, or if they just want to learn more about the human body.

    Course highlights:

This course has taught me so much information about the human body that I did not know before. This course is a lot of work but every packet or worksheet really helps you remember information about the different bones, muscles, and also the different types of tissues. Also, dissecting the cat is so much fun and you also learn about the similarities you have with the cats, whether it is the same bones or the same muscles. This is my favorite class i have taken throughout my four years in high school.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

You need to do all of the work. If you decide to not study and review for a test, it will be very hard to pass it. Depending on the chapter, make flash cards to help you memorize the different terms, or locations of the different type of muscle, bones, etc.
