    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this class because it encourages students to become active citizens. Students are able to discuss societal problems and ways to become involved in government. Mr. Corcoran challenges us to step out of our comfort zones and to challenge our beliefs and others. We are challenged to keep up with the pace. Lastly, we are given the opportunity to learn about the history of our government and what it takes to uphold the Constitution.

    Course highlights:

Some of the highlights of this course were discussing the different Amendments and Acts that affected the Civil Rights Movement. Another highlight was learning about government and then being able to observe the 2016 election. I learned that "We the people" are responsible for keeping their elected officials in check.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Some advice for taking this course would be to read the textbook very carefully for every test. I usually read the night before to make sure that I will be able to remember specific details. If you don't like reading textbooks and engaging in political conversations then this class is not for you. If you like history then this will be a great class for you.
