This class was tough.
Course Overview:
Because a teacher from this school who is also my mothers close friend, she is such an amazing tutour!!! She helped me get from F's in algebra II to a B in that class.
Course highlights:
That even if it's hard at first, I mean it's math, not gonna be easy ever. At first I didn't understand the Trigonometry part because I was unfamiliar with it coming into a new school, but Mrs. Stalder, she made everything so clear and simple to learn and understand.
Hours per week:
12+ hours
Advice for students:
That you need to be very very determined to actually put time and effort towards getting these assignments and the work done! It isn't gonna learn itself. It takes a great deal of effort to understand these difficult at first, but later on simple concepts.
Pretty easy, overall.
Course Overview:
Algebra II is a fun yet challenging at times. Highly recommend it even if it wasn't a required course.
Course highlights:
The class allows the student to feel like they are taking a more challenging class that includes learning about the unit circle and starting to understand sine, cosine and tangent laws and properties.
Hours per week:
0-2 hours
Advice for students:
Make sure to pay attention in class and do all homework to stay ahead in the course and understand the material.
This class was tough.
Course Overview:
Taking an Honors version of a Math class allows your mind to expand past you usual comfort zone and helps your grow in knowledge and understanding of how to approach and solve a problem. It also allows you to expand your thought process and try new things and challenge yourself to accomplish goals that you can be proud of.
Course highlights:
I learned how to not just follow a formula. I was able to see the purpose and concepts behnd the math probelmsa which allowed me to undrerstand the problem better and future probelms I came across.
Hours per week:
6-8 hours
Advice for students:
Make sure you set aside time to study because the only way to truly study math is to do problems over and over again until you understand the process you must follow to solve for the answer. Also be usre to study over and extended period of time, no the night before a big test. Thuis will allow you to acomperehend what you are studying and remembre it, where as craming th enight beofre will not allow you to trult understand the material and you will end up frogettign it.
