    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Even though this college-level class was a struggle for me as a sophomore, I really learned to widen my perspectives and consider all the factors before forming an opinion. One of the most integral concepts I learned was that as a person living in 21st century American society, I couldn't judge past society by the same standards I judge my society. I had to look at every event, person, and action in the lens of their context.

    Course highlights:

Earning college credit and receiving an Honors-level GPA boost is always beneficial, but I was most grateful to have a sneak-peek at the college experience and higher-level curriculum.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Mr. Taylor lets students take notes on laptops, which is an immense time saver. When doing projects, I could use the Ctrl+F function to find whatever information I was looking for within a single second instead of rifling through a year's worth of notes.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This was a difficult class. He teaches during class, but you are also expected to read the textbook. Many questions in the tests are found in the textbook, but not taught in class. This class requires heavy studying.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot from this course. I studied a lot and gained a lot of knowledge that stuck instead of just losing it.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Take advantage of the extra credit. There are many options for extra credit and it is so helpful. You can earn up to 25 points in extra credit per quarter.
