    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend it and I do recommend it to anyone and everyone. It teaches students not only philosophy, but how to form and defend well thought out ideas. It offers students a different way of thinking and a break from your average class. It challenges students to think deeper and delve into their own examined thoughts.

    Course highlights:

I gained insight into my thoughts and why I think the way I do. I developed a more rounded thought process and argument abilities that I will be able to carry with me for the rest of my life. I have gotten the chance to hear other people's inner most thoughts and think about them critically. Mr. Raisch is one of the greatest teachers I have ever had. He knows how to get the most out of his students and instill in them the love of learning, not just the need the memorize and do well.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

To succeed, you need to want to learn. You need a true interest. Without this, you will not get everything you can out of this class. A helpful tip is to actually read everything. If you do not, you are not really getting the point of the class. He relies a lot on the morality of the student to grade themselves on reading assignments and that leaves it up to the student to really grasp the class and squeeze everything out of it they can, or to just skate by. The concepts are tough, but very very rewarding.

    Course highlights:

Watching movies/lectures, but also the discussions afterwards. Seeing multiple perspectives pushed me to learn more.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Great 1 semester Honors course. If you like discussing or movies, definitely sign up!
