    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it was very helpful in preparing high school students for college. The professor had high expectations, but he provided the students with the information they needed to meet them.

    Course highlights:

This course goes over American History from the beginning to 1877. I learned a lot of basic information from this time period through the lectures and readings provided by the teacher. I especially enjoyed the teacher's lectures. He made them interesting and informational.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to succeed in this course, you need to be willing to manage your time without help from the instructor. If you do not want to write a 5-page essay the night before it's due, for instance, you need to plan for yourself how you are going to get it done before it is due. There are a couple of individual, long-term assignments that will not have small due dates to keep you on track, so you need to hold yourself accountable and work on them throughout the semester.
